The following instructions provide guidance on use of the Bookitlab for Genomics Core users. Researchers will be able to review and approve requests through the Bookitlab website. If you have any questions about using Bookitlab or details relating to a request for services, please contact core staff at (mugenomicscore@missouri.edu).

Core staff will create a request based on details provided by the researcher. The researcher will then approve the request. Two methods are available for approving service requests.
Method #1 (easiest method)
1. An email will be sent to individuals (PI or authorized lab member) assigned with an approver role within the user group.
2. After selecting "Approve Request", the Bookitlab login page will open. MU researchers will login using their PawPrint by selecting "MU SSO Login". External researchers will login by selecting "Sign In With Credentials". These credentials will have been previously set-up with core staff.
3. Once you are logged into the system, you will be taken to the requested order summary page. You have approved the request.
4. Services and charges can be confirmed in the Milestone section. Typically, the first Milestone is library QC and preparation costs, and the second Milestone is the sequencing charges.

Method #2 (approval within Bookitlab; not approving from email)
1. Begin by logging in to Bookitlab. MU researchers will login using their PawPrint by selecting "MU SSO Login". External researchers will login by selecting "Sign In With Credentials". These credentials will have been previously set-up with core staff.
2. Select the "Request Services" button on left side of webpage.
3. From the list of requests, click on the request ID number corresponding to your project, as found in the initial email.
4. Check and confirm services and charges can be confirmed in the Milestone section. Typically, the first Milestone is library QC and preparation costs, and the second Milestone is the sequencing charges.

5. If you agree to the costs to be charged, click on the approve button at the top of the page.
1. After logging in to Bookitlab, select the Request number and locate the"Move/Edit" button (circled in red).
2. Upon selecting that button, additional information will be revealed. The box on the right will have the project ID (circled in red).

4. Select the Print PDF button from the upper right corner of the window.
5. Select the Print PDF button from the upper right corner of the window. The print dialogue box will open. Select the items to be included in the pdf file. Select print and save file.
Tip: Set scale to 60% to capture all Milestone columns.
